Tegma holds social events for employees, truck drivers and their families

Between the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, Tegma Gestão Logística S.A. organized parties in several units to promote social gatherings involving employees and their families. This year, the activities included two novelties, which gave a broader and more significant dimension to the events: truck drivers – from the company and service providers – and fleet owners were invited, and the festivities were also aimed at celebrating 50 years of activities of Tegma.

On December 1st, the party was held in São Bernardo do Campo, with more than 1,300 people present – ​​including 302 children -, bringing together employees, drivers, fleet owners and family members from the Miro Vetorazzo and Nicola Demarchi units. The schedule included a buffet with barbecue, accompanied by live music with a band and DJ, as well as recreational activities for children and a raffle of gifts. Also in December, on the 15th, it was the turn of employees from the Vale do Paraíba region to meet at a farm in São José dos Campos. Another festival was organized on January 12, 2020 at a site in the city of Viamão, Rio Grande do Sul. After the events, all participating drivers received a thermal mug as a gift.

The president of Tegma, Gennaro Oddone, participated in the get-together in São Bernardo do Campo and sent a message that was read at the other parties. He reported on important events that took place in 1969, the year in which Sinimbu, the carrier that gave rise to Tegma, was founded, with operations focused on the transport of brand new vehicles. That year, the company’s president exemplified, among other historical events, the man stepped on the moon for the first time, the Beatles recorded their latest album together and Cid Moreira debuted his traditional ‘Boa Noite’ as a presenter of Jornal Nacional.

Gennaro Oddone also gave a brief account of the company’s trajectory, including the acquisitions promoted between 1998 and 2001, “which reinforced the company’s performance in the market for transporting new vehicles”. Years later, already under the name Tegma, it promoted the expansion of activities – especially from 2007 onwards – positioning itself as a logistics operator, developing solutions for storage, consolidation and distribution of goods for various sectors. It was also at this time that the company went public on the São Paulo Stock Exchange (B3), joining the Novo Mercado, a segment that brings together companies committed to corporate governance practices.

In these five decades, Tegma has been building a history of evolution, improvement and innovation, consolidating itself as one of the most important and respected logistics operators in the country.
