Who whe are

We are one of Brazil's largest logistics management companies, a leader in shipping of new cars for the automotive industry.

We are experts in providing customized innovative and sustainable logistics solutions to meet the most diverse market needs in three different areas: transport and logistics services for the automotive industry, road transport, and warehousing and handling.

The synergy between these three activities, in close cooperation with our clients, allows us to act upon both the integration of all logistics processes and in the supply chain management.
Our organizational development process is sustained by five pillars, which aim to support decision making and generate self-regulating development. The five pillars are:

  • People: the aim is to encourage participation and development of actions and to strengthen motivation and trust in the company;
  • Quality: Operational Excellence of all logistics solutions is ensured (we deliver quality at a lower cost, with more efficiency, at a higher quality, throughout all processes);
  • Clients: we aim to diversify and expand our business platform;
  • Suppliers: we aim to improve their loyalty towards Tegma and to make them participate in the group's improvement efforts;
  • Shareholders: we ensure both return on investment and business sustainability.

We took up our activities in 1969 under the name of Transportadora de Veículos Zero Km Sinimbu. The company changed its name to Tegma after a merger with Schlatter, Transfer and Axis do Brasil, and later, in 2002, with Translor.

In 2004, we acquired 49% of Catlog, a company we manage today. In 2006, Tegmax was set up, specialized in automobiles auctions.
In April 2007, Boni/Gatx and Coimex Logística Integrada were fully acquired by Tegma, which then started to operate on the market as an integrator of logistics processes. In July of that year, Tegma went public and started to sell its shares at the São Paulo Stock Exchange (BOVESPA).

In September 2007, we started our first international activities by setting up internal transport operations of vehicles in Venezuela through TEGMA Venezuela.

In September 2008, we acquired all operations of the Vehicle Transporter Cooperative (CTV, first initials in Portuguese), expanding our operations into the Midwest and the North of Brazil.
