Tegma reopens the distribution center in Espírito Santo, Brazil

The result of a R$ 21.5 million investment, the structure measures 15,000 m2 and has a capacity of 17,000 pallet spaces.
 
São Bernardo do Campo, Brazil, October 28, 2009 - Tegma Gestão Logística, one of Brazil's main logistics management companies and a leader in the shipment of new cars, reopens its distribution center in Cariacica, Espírito Santo state, Brazil, in the next 29th day. Located in a strategic city, the new structure cost R$ 21.5 million, measures 15,000 m2 - fully integrated into customs - and includes 17,300 pallet spaces. The design of the new distribution center takes into account its expansion to 20,000 m2, or another 5,000 pallets.
 
Used for Tegma's storage operations and inventory management, the new distribution center was designed with the drive-through system. Goods receipt and shipment areas are arranged in such a way as to avoid any jamming.
 
It was created to meet specific market needs and equipped with the latest security systems, the new distribution center yields greater productivity and saves time and space for customers.
"The reopening in Cariacica is an important step for a strategic logistics provider as defined by Tegma, i.e., applying intelligence to the design and development of integrated solutions and operating in three key chain links: transport, storage and management of stocks," says Tegma's president, Gennaro Oddone.
