"OPTIMIZING CLARO'S SUPPLY CHAIN"
The process begins by the receipt planning; in which suppliers have delivery windows that are severely met for asset safety and work routine reasons.
Next, TEGMA's warehouse receives the goods. Amounts and terms of delivery of products and their invoices are checked here. At this stage, in addition to quantities, the quality of goods is also checked, such as the serial reading conditions, which is extremely important to ensure the entire tracking and tracing process, now under Claro's goods conditions.
The products are then packed on pallets intended for storage and they are controlled by means of a WMS (Warehouse Management System) software program.
After receiving the sales orders, the work process planning is done, since we have to supply different distribution channels, each one with distinct features and peculiarities at each step. After that planning, the process starts automatically, and all data are received in the handling area, which already has been informed about the chosen strategy; that's where the separation and collection of storage area equipment take place.
After items are separated, the device's serial is read, a process that aims to ensure the complete integrity of the process, where each item is registered and allocated to its final customer at every step. Therefore, the order is automatically sent to the invoicing area, which issues invoices and other documents to ensure that customers receive all the needed information at the time of the delivery of goods. After that, the order is sent to the shipping sector.
Among those processes, there is a sector, responsible for the assembly of kits, which are customized according to each customer's request.
One of Claro's most typical distribution channels is the retail one, which requires a special technicality for delivery process scheduling, order monitoring, and the delivery of goods.
The goods are checked once more in the shipping department and packed in suitable containers for transport.
Thus, we use the TMS software program to manage distribution, which allows us to choose the best partner for each destination throughout Brazil.
We also perform Claro's reverse logistics, which includes receiving faulty equipment, screening them, and analyzing their warranty status. The devices are then sent to suppliers for exchange.
We use the most modern and strict safety techniques, including cameras, presence sensors, and metal detector portals at the warehouse entries, as well as intelligence in the risk management process.
Our infrastructure, coupled with technology, yields positive results for Claro, such as:
- High Productivity - Best man / machine ratio among all partners throughout Brazil;
